Do you have a writing course?

Yes we do, if you would like to concentrate your training on business writing, we have developed a curriculum that specializes in writing skills, provided that you have a minimum level of English/French.

What are the first steps I need to take before I can start class?

We will start with an online and oral evaluation, followed by a detailed needs analysis where you’ll be able to confirm your preferred schedules and the type of training best suited to your needs.

When can I take the training?

Our trainers can come to your location anytime between 7:30am and 9pm from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays between 9am and 5pm. This schedule also applies for our virtual classes. You can also take the training at our downtown location between 2:30pm and 9:00pm or on the weekends from 9 to 5.

Are you closed in the summer?

We are always open for business except for statutory holidays.

How big are the classes?

There can be a maximum of 8 students per class.

Should I expect to have homework?

Teachers give homework each class. It can be exercises in a book, a written assignment or an oral presentation preparation. Learner should expect to do about 20-30 minutes of homework for each class.

Do you only offer English and French classes?

We have many teachers who specialize in different languages. After English and French, the most popular languages to learn are Spanish, Mandarin and Portuguese. Let us know if you want to learn another language and we’ll surely be able to help you.

How long will it take me to learn a second language?

Learning a second language can be influenced by many factors: motivation, regular contact with second language, ability to learn…there is no fast trick. Our levels are 60 hours long, which means that you can expect to move from one level to the next after 60 hours of classes.

What makes you different from other schools?

What experience do your teachers have?

They all have either a minimum bachelor’s degree or a teaching certificate. They all teach in their native or first language and they all have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.

What should I expect after 30 hours of training?

You’ll complete a module (2 modules will complete the level), 30 hours is a minimum for you to be more at ease in the language, I will only be able to tell where you’ll be once we have assessed your level.

How many levels do you have?

levels (2 beginners, 2 intermediates, 2 advanced and 1 level for language maintenance). Each level is 60 hour long.

How does your class typically work?

It’s a communicative approach with a 20% focus on grammar, 30% on skills and 50% on conversation. The skills portion of the class will focus on business related activities, depending on the group level and the needs of the students. Students have a lot of speaking time in class, which will help with fluency and use of correct grammar in context.

Do you have work related/business content?

Yes we do, our trainers have access to a library of books on a variety of business content and have access to a database with industry-specific activities that they can include in the training.
